Sahibzadas’ Legacy to Shape Young Minds Nationwide, Says UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said the bravery and sacrifice of Guru Gobind Singh Maharaj’s four Sahibzadas have been included in educational curricula across India, calling it a major step to inspire patriotism, courage, and moral values among the youth.

Lucknow: Emphasising the role of history in shaping national character, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that the bravery and sacrifice of Guru Gobind Singh Maharaj’s four Sahibzadas are now being incorporated into educational curricula across India. He described the move as a significant step toward instilling patriotism, courage, and moral strength among the country’s younger generation.

Speaking in Lucknow, the Chief Minister highlighted the enduring relevance of the Sahibzadas’ sacrifice, calling it a powerful source of inspiration for students. He noted that integrating their story into formal education would ensure that future generations grow up with a deeper understanding of India’s cultural and spiritual heritage, as well as the values of resilience and selfless service.

Yogi Adityanath underlined that education is not limited to academic learning alone but also plays a crucial role in character-building. By formally recognising the Sahibzadas’ courage and martyrdom in textbooks and syllabi, he said, the education system is taking responsibility for passing on stories that reflect unwavering commitment to faith, justice, and the nation.

The Chief Minister’s remarks come amid broader efforts by governments to highlight historical figures and events that exemplify sacrifice and national pride. According to him, such initiatives help bridge the gap between history and contemporary society, allowing students to draw strength and guidance from past examples of extraordinary bravery.
